The Original Performing Chainsaw Artist

Entertaining crowds not only with his prowess with this tool but intriguing ability to connect with audiences while he gives interpretive explanations as to how he goes about performing his art. Jerry is an accomplished sculpture who has won numerous awards for his artwork not only in chain saw work, but in fine art as well.

When he is not performing at fairs and expositions throughout the United States, he is busy in his studio in Delton Michigan making sculpture for fine art shows. A graduate of Central Michigan University with a degree to teach art K-12, Jerry left teaching to become an artist in 1977. This background makes him adept at public speaking, where from behind his microphone he challenges his listeners to get involved with art themselves. Truly an inspirational show, and since the speaking part of Jerry's show is related to the subject he is carving, the nterpertives are as varied as the subjects. Jerry realizes that the array of carvings he does at an event is as much an attraction as the carving of them, and therefore does not duplicate any subject during the duration of the event unless asked to do so by event management. This has the added effect of bringing back audiences to see what he will carve next. This show is good for all ages.
